The Story Of Our Name
One of the first aesthetic devices added to my medical practice emitted intense pulsed light energy.
Lumière is the French word for “light,” and Lumen is a measurement of light, coined by a French physicist.
Lum is written in Chinese as 林, and means forest. Don’t miss the forest for the trees, because “Lum” is also in “Lumièr.”
“Lumière,” was purposely truncated to “Lumièr,” as I endeavored to create a unique label to a practice that would pay homage to its new beginnings.

Our fundamental mission is to preserve and renew the well-being of our patients.
We believe in preventive medicine and in a “whole person” approach to health care. An individual is more than just the sum of body parts or what appears on the skin surface. We do not focus exclusively on one technology trend, treatment modality or product. We focus on what will best serve the patient as a whole person, consistent with sound medical care and practice. We believe in continuity of care.

We believe in quality over quantity, collegiality within our profession, mutual respect, and the compassionate care of individuals as patients, not as business clients.
