Dr. Michael Lum graduated with honors from Loma Linda University. He received his medical degree from the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in 1989, and completed a general rotating internship at Lakeside Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. He was chief resident at the University of Kansas School of Medicine Famiy Practice Residency, and Board Certified in Family Practice. His medical practice background is procedure intensive and includes the management of critical care patients, assisting with surgeries, obstetrics, emergency and urgent care medicine.
Dr. Lum is a Diplomate of the National Board of Osteopathic Medical Examiners, a member of the American Osteopathic Association, Osteopathic Physicians and Surgeons of California, the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the California Academy of Family Physicians. Medical Aesthetic affiliations include the American Academy of Medical Esthetic Professionals, the International Association of Physicians in Aesthetic Medicine, and the American College of Compounding Physicians.
With the development of new minimally-invasive procedures for cosmetic medical applications, Dr. Lum incorporated these modalities into his practice that placed an emphasis on education, prevention, and well-being. He specializes in medical aesthetics and provides services that include, but are not limited to medical LASERS and Lights, which include IPL™, non-ablative fractional laser resurfacing, permanent hair reduction, photodynamic therapy, injectables such as Botulinum toxin and fillers, sclerotherapy, chemical peels, minor cutaneous surgical procedures, the use of prescription and non-prescription products.
